I know what it feels like to be out of shape, unfit, and unable to play sports.
Freshman year of highschool I struggled with being out of shape. I wanted to play sports and be on the basketball team, but my body just couldn't perform and keep up. I feel ashamed to say that I've been there and have made mistakes of fad diets and starving myself... only to binge the next day making no progress. I knew there had to be a healthier way to get my body to change.
I started reading nutrition books, watching workout videos, and reading countless articles online... I started to change my lifestyle and I fell in love with working out, playing basketball, and seeing my progress. I was on the right track, but with my participation in sports, I sustained several injuries and setbacks along the way. This led me to do research on rehab and physical therapy treatments.
My senior year of high school, I knew I wanted to keep studying about the body and found an interest in exercise science, nutrition, sports development, and rehabilitation. I finally found what I enjoyed researching and learning.
The summer before I started college my sister was hit by a car and as a result, tore her ACL. She was thankfully okay, with ACL surgery and physical therapy she was able to make a full recovery. Through her rehab process I attended several physical therapy treatment sessions. I found it fascinating being able to help the body recover and heal. After seeing her rehab process, I set my goal to become a Physical Therapist and help people recover and get back to feeling their best.
As a Physical Therapist, Personal Trainer, registered yoga instructor, and strength and condition coach, I've dedicated my life to learning all that I can to help you recover, build your ideal body and perform at your highest level.
